Additional license terms
Your open-source rights remain intact.
These terms supplement the Microsoft Store Standard Application License Terms for FLV Video Player Pro. They apply only where needed to preserve the separate licenses of bundled third-party components.
Effective: August 31, 2026
No reduction of third-party rights
Third-party components are governed by their own license terms. Nothing in the app’s license limits rights granted by those licenses, including rights to inspect, modify, debug, replace, or relink a covered component where its open-source license permits or requires that activity.
LGPL playback components
LibVLCSharp, the app’s custom LibVLC runtime, and the enabled FFmpeg libraries are distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later. The complete LGPL text and component notices are included with the installed app.
Other components
The self-contained Microsoft .NET runtime is provided under the MIT License and its included notices. MediaInfo is provided under the BSD 2-Clause License. Exact versions and notices ship in the app package.
Corresponding source and build materials
For at least three years after RuaTek’s last distribution of this version, RuaTek will provide the corresponding source code, local modifications, and build materials for the bundled LGPL components upon written request, for no more than the reasonable physical cost of distribution. Email support@jcalit.com with “FLV Video Player Pro LGPL Source Request” and the app version.
The runtime is dynamically loaded from the packaged libvlc/win-x64 layout. Windows package signing and installation rules may require a developer package or a separately rebuilt package when exercising replacement or relinking rights; those platform rules do not alter the component licenses.
Codec and patent notice
Profile B intentionally enables FLV1 video and MP3 audio playback only; H.264, AAC, F4V, and other combinations are outside the supported release scope. Open-source copyright licenses do not grant patent rights. This reduced codec set is never described as patent-free, and applicable requirements may vary by jurisdiction, distribution, and use.
